Test Taking Strategies
Before the Test
1. *Develop a positive attitude...Tell yourself, “I will do my best on this test!!”
2. *Get a good night’s sleep before the test.
3. *Get up early enough to avoid hurrying to get ready for school.
4. *Eat a good breakfast (and lunch if the test is in the afternoon).
During the Test
1. *Stay Calm.
2. *Read each question and answer choices carefully.
3. *Cross out obviously wrong answers.
4. *Use your paper/pencil, calculators and manipulatives.
5. *If you come to a hard question, skip it and come back later.
6. *This is NOT timed, you can have as much time as you want!
